Who We Are
Mixed Bag Records is a multi-genre label, focused on bringing the community together through music, events and art!
Cypher in the cut
Mixed Bag Records, Emerging Sounds & The Second Combing created the “Cypher In the Cut” series in 2025.
This is a rolling pop-up style cypher series located in The Second Combing barber shop in Stokes Croft. Bringing Hip Hop and Grime together, we have created a space for every artist to come down and show the city the talent they have.
We have seen some legends tune into these cyphers such as: Kwazi, Boyce (Caravan Collective, Krazy (Wordlife) , Anto, Backsy, Johnny Darko and many more!
Alongside the amazing music at these events, we were joined by some of Bristols best Graffiti artists. Outside the shop, we had boards ready for these artists to paint and create 1 of 1 graffiti pieces. These artists are all active within the scene here, some names consist of: Koolhandz, Werm, Terragraff, BLAM! and Weird Cat.
